Herm -
An island about 20 minutes ferry trip from Guernsey. You can walk around it in less than an hour. It has no cars or bicycles but people still live there and it has it's own school and church etc. crazy.

The Bathing Pools - yes you can see right - it is just part of the ocean that has been 'fenced' off.

FILTER IN TURN - this is a Guernsey variation of the STOP. It's kinda a 3 way stop, and if there are 3 cars, then they filter in turn, but if there are no cars there then you can just carry on driving. GENIUS - none of that 3 second rubbish!
same with the gas - you use the pump first and THEN go inside and pay for what you have used.
People often put tings - flowers, potatoes, tomatoes, fruit... on the side of their houses to sell and trust honest Guernsey folk to leave the right amount of money!
